Fireworks

Last nigth at South Bank, there was a fireworks display in conjunctionto 20 years Brisbane World Expo anniversary. Took the oppurtunity and tried out shooting fireworks.

I took just under 150 shots and it just shows that there is a lot for me to learn about fireworks shots. Basically, i am not happy with the shots. It seems easy but getting the relust is another thing. At this point, there was no difference in result to my 'point and shot' camera canon570is. I took last year Brisbane River festival fireworks display with this P&S camera.

Just looking at the above image, you can see my point and for an immediate needs, i have to get a lens hood. This will helps in eliminating the unwanted ambient light effect as can be seen on the both half of the image. The bottom is slightly brighter. May be i can do post processing, but i don't like doing it and more over, without a calibrated monitor, i will just ends up messing up the image.... but i don't like post processing....
