Staying on the path

We had a discusion last friday at work about work processes for our new initiative. The question arised, should we follow the similar process or should we pushed the system and create new process?. Or in other word should we stay on the path or deviate and create our own path for others to follow?

Interestingly, if we deviate and create new path, will it be hard like climbing the stairway or plain sailing like walking on the flat footpath.

Obstacles..... are challanges.....
